my story

I’m amanda. owner and designer here at ninety-two design co. it all started with a dream and here we are. ...if it was only that easy.
after a degree in radiation physics, a license in radiation therapy, working at a major hospital for 6 years, taking design classes after my 10 hour shifts for weeks on end, designing for my first wedding in my parent's basement, countless lessons learned, so many cuts and bruises, building a she shed studio and pulling all nighters designing for our couples - we are finally here.
I had no idea what I wanted to do when I was going into college. I knew I was a creative and caretaker but being a first generation college graduate to two immigrant parents was my priority. when working as a radiation therapist, I knew something was missing and it was being able to create and use my hands. I tried a countless amount of different hobbies and activities to see if anything really stuck. the older I got though the more I thought about my childhood and my foundation. throughout my entire childhood and teenage life, I grew up living with both my grandparents and parents. both generations were born on the island of sao miguel and I never forgot that. they never forgot their agricultural routes, especially my grandfather. he created the most exquisite fruit, vegetable and flower gardens. grape vine trellises, fields of zinnias and snapdragons and all the fruit a girl could want. I vividly remember the cherry blossom tree in our side yard and eating dinner underneath the grapevine trellis the size of a garage. that’s when I realized this was it. I needed to be surrounded by flowers - always.

who we are

we are ninety two design co.- inspired by nature and exuding romance in every corner. garden inspired designs - specifically European garden designs. think a stone or brick backdrop, exposed wood trellises, natural vines growing throughout. we love to use full, lush blooms with textural pops for a natural element.
seasonality and local flowers are our goal for every event. flowers that grow together go together. we work with the freshest product for each and every event. we are perfectionists but allow the organic nature of flowers compliment each other.
we love to add coastal touches whenever we can. Amanda’s parents were born and grew up in a small island called sao miguel in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. with that consideration, we knew that the ocean was going to be where we pulled a lot of our inspiration too - and that we needed to be within 30 minutes of the ocean at all times.

“Amanda was absolutely incredible in bringing our wedding vision to life. It was hard for me to articulate what I was picturing for our wedding, but Amanda is so knowledgeable and creative when it comes to design and colors. She is easy to talk to, down to earth, and not afraid to make suggestions and show you other options you may not have thought about.”
